I tried to eat some cookie cakey things last night and it made me ill :(

Trying to eat cake

Everybody knows I like cake, but for the past month I have been trying to eat it and its been a useless effort
I want it.
So I start chewing, but I don't feel like swallowing, so I end up spitting it out and throwing the uneaten slice away.
I mean It's been good in that I don't take in those calories
but what is the deal?
I think it's because I've been listening to a particular morning radio show. I used to listen all the time and laugh. But now it's gotten gross and mean. They do nasty things to food and make people eat it.
I hope I am not off cake for good.

Ju Ju food

This is an ode to True Blood
One of my fav characters is Lafayette
During a wake he warns Tara (Another of my fav characters) not to eat the 'juju fod' that the townspeople made
She eats it and says it tastes good to her

He says: Now see you gonna wish you never did that girl
And he kinda snaps his fingers. :)
I love True Blood.
(I wouldn't have eaten the food).

Polish

Kam bought this for me at the Polish store. He suggested I try it apart from the other stuff we got the first time when we went to the store in Destin
It's the best ever because its not tart
It's sweet but not too sweet....
I eat it when I am starving and haven't cooked yet

By the time I am done eating though, I don't feel for anything else
This is so good
I like Polish food in general. It's not the most mouth watering but its yummily adequate.

A good day with food

I like to remember the food I had on good and great days

On this day I was hanging out with Ely
I had fun and we were wild with picture taking, then and later on.
We had a yummy yummy pizza. Artichokes and things.

I remember being starving by the time we met at 6 pm because I hadn't eaten all day

So when we ordered I was kinda relieved. I think she was starving too.

The lighting in the pizza place made everything seem like we had gone back in time to the 1990's
EARLY 1990's :)
The thing about starving is this.
You think you can eat a lot
Then once you have a few bites you get full
A few more bites and you feel ill.
When I put my leftovers in the fridge, that night I couldn't look at them the next day. (Its not my favorite thing to eat leftovers, the day after I had the original)
They stayed there, then I had to put them in the freezer.
A week later I ate it....

A good day

Full of sweeties and sweeties

Gelato...definitely too sweet or rich or something.

My head wasn't the same after that. All this after I got the tiniest gelato in the world.
Guys eat this stuff up no problem...
Good thing I didn't feel nausea afterward. :(



The rest and the rest was yummy. I like the design on MIke's coffee, I have postcards just like that.
My cookie (the size of a cake), was amazing :)

A brunch

I was bummed out
I couldnt figure out why my memory card was full till I realized they changed my size settings...
After the fact!
But for brunch I had this scone...spinach
Tomatoes, swiss cheese
Onions (which I picked out and put to the side)
I can't even try anymore.

Attribute some profundity to me now with my food choices.
May be topsy turvy for a while.

I loved this movie (because it made me laugh, when it was supposed to be serious).

I imagine if I were 12 I would adore it...but I seriously doubt that...

When I was 12 I was different lol..

I laughed and laughed and we gawked and gawked and made comments...that's the best thing about watching DVDs at home lol!Much as I like Vampyre lore, this had to be one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen.
I still like Robert Pattinson for the same reason everyone else likes him. . He was sweet in The Goblet of Fire. The hero, could do no wrong, brave, popular, sporty, adventurous, gorgeous, friendly, honorable and on and on.
So what better way to celebrate that, than with strawberries and cherries, pizza, salad and banana bread. Then watch the trailer of New Moon with your friends because the werewolf boys look damned good! :)

Marmite Potatoes

My friend sent me this recipe...
I've smelled Marmite SEVERAL times in an attempt to MAKE myself WANT to taste it.
It's probably not gonna happen anytime soon
I haven't had potatoes in a long time....
Marmite and potatoes..I guess I cant knock it till I have tried it.
I don't have a picture....

Here is his recipe...
5 potatoes
2 large onions
fresh rosemary
marmite
vegetable stock

Couldn't be simpler. Preheat the oven to 400F/200C. Put the kettle on.

Slice the taters into rounds, thin, but not too thin, say 4mm = 1/6 inch.

Slice the onions into rounds (across the grain, so you get rings), thin, say 1-2mm = 1/16 inch (basically as thin as you can easily get whole rounds).

Kettle has boiled, so mix up about 3 cups (a pint or so) of water with a vegetable stock cube (or teaspoon or two of stock granules) and a heaped teaspoon of marmite.

Put one layer of potato slices over the bottom of an ovenproof dish (say 8" across, 3" deep). Keep them as close together as possible, minimizing gaps.

Follow with a layer of onion slices.

Sprinkle the onion with some fresh rosemary spines (at least 12-15).

Repeat the three layers, ending with potato.

Pour over the stock. The idea is to just barely reach the level of the top potatoes.

Put it in the oven.

Wait 1 hour.
Serve with fork & spoon & dijon mustard.
Yum.

It tasted great but wow, you shook every time you tasted it!
I loved it actually because we laughed every time we sipped it....
But I won't have it again for a long time!

This was very very delicious.
Each sauce had a completely different flavor.
It was heavenly.

My favorite part, which I couldn't wait for was the mango pudding

This had the consistency of near melted ice-cream so I don't think 'pudding' is the correct word.
Bits of Banana were floating in it
The feeling when you ate it was akin to being enveloped in soft musk (the perfume).
