Apple chow

I had some green apples which are really tart
So I decided to make some chow like we usually make with tomato or cucumber
I got the apples

Cut them up

Placed in my fav bowl (I painted it myself)

Added lemon juice and a little apple cider vinegar (prevents browning)

Salt and black pepper

Jalepeno and


Then some raisins

Then chill for at least 1 hour (the raisins will plump up)
Then NYAM :)
The apple will soak up the juice salt and pepper flavor, and taste sooo good

Cauliflower Caramelized

Roasting cauliflower caramelizes it
So that's what I decided to do
Got the cauliflower

Coated it in EVOO
And Seasonings

Broiled it for 40 mins because mine started off frozen

I stirred two times during this time

It smelled really good just FYI

Like potatoes roasting but more delicious if that is possible

Then I got them outta there

Like so

I did it and it was good

Lets take a moment to reflect

Piece de resistance

I was pining for this cheese

It's my White Stilton with mango and ginger
It finally came in to the specialty store

This cheese tastes like and has the texture of cheese cake
Go figure
Can't wait to have some guests over to try it. :)


I am not the biggest beer fan but I discovered and love this one
Orange blossom pilsner square

It's sweet and yummy honey fermented beer with 11% alcohol

This looks like a little bit of a mess

It was really good
It's fried egg (over medium)

With a creamy salsa verde
It was really good!
I made it for lunch one day... It took 5 minutes

It for Today

I have been video jugging it to find something different
I found this one -egg curry

BUT, I put my own spin on it
I added carrots and green apples and some sausage
Also some different spices to what they used in their curry

So I got the eggs ready

Then the curry (carrots first because they take a while to soften)
Then apple

Simmer and reduce

Cut eggs

Prepare dish

Then voila!

Dinner and Letters

We went to dinner theater

Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised and happy

Even though the food was 'southern barbeque' it was amazingly good

I try to avoid bbq as much as possible because it is always really dry and ew

But this was moist and juicy and good
The rice was great

Even though I took bread I didn't eat it...I was saving room for ice-cream

The dessert was actually peach cobbler but you know me and peaches don't mesh...

I like the bowls that the food was served in

The music that played while we ate was chic and cool and relaxing

I had the best time.

After eating we had the play..

I've been cooking a lot these days but nothing that I felt was interesting enough to post.
But I really should go ahead and take the pics anyway

So T had sweet corn (garlic herb buttered), seasoned baked yams and broccoli
It looks good I must say

Two boyfriends

Whoever Williams and Sonoma are I love them

They created one of my favorite stores ever.
(these are fig orange cookies)
I don't mind the 1.5 hr drive to visit the nearest one

I love to go in and just walk around

Whenever I see something I like, I get it


If you can be in love with a store in all sincerity, then I am love with this store
