Artichoke

The best artichokes to use for cooking, or in salads is the Vigo brand.
Packaged in brine, it doesn't have that sharp acidic taste like other brands and it is not oily.
I swear by this.
That is my tip for the day.

i really have to give artichokes another try... fresh or something... the tinned ones i bought and used a few years ago wigged me out... but it may have been the brand...

I know I hated how tart they were in the tins. Fresh is best but I am never sure how to deal with cooking them.
Also with fresh you have to cook a ton to get the few yu get in the tin.
Vigo has a lot and its not tart. Its soaked in a mild brine which rinses right off! YEAH!!!!!!!
