Use the pre-crumbled for salads.
The whole, you have to cut then TRY to crumble and then it never looks quite right. You have to LIFT the block of cheese

If you want to have the feta on a cheese spread for a wine and cheese thing then of course the whole is perfect (except that bits of it crumble on you but whatever).
Take your pick.
