I really love spinach
I just wilt and heat in the oven most times.
Roasted carrots are yumtastic

Babette
Babette's feast went all the way out with the food.
They really brought it
The story seems very simple but it really isn't at all.
I highly recommend it because it's a journey that most of us have been through whether we know it or not
Whether we acknowledge it or choose not to
It is at the feast itself that we see that the lesson has been learned (whereas we weren't quite sure before)
I am so glad that NOW is when I am seeing this movie, as opposed to before, when everything seemed so bothersome
If you are expecting high and fast paced drama, this is not the film.
You have to sit quietly by yourself.
BY YOURSELF
At night, or late evening. Something warm to drink, with some light refreshment, and enjoy it by yourself.
You have to be alone, because you need to be able to reflect on yourself, by yourself
I think that is the best way.
Meanwhile, I loved the locations they chose. From the town by the sea, to the shops, etc.
I love the costumes and the food
I love the actors and the dialogue
The dialogue was limited.
With good reason. There was no need for a lot of it
Each course took you through the lesson that you should be learning
Each course is prepared long enough and consumed long enough to get you to think
If you aren't prepared, you may wonder why things are taking so long to move along
However, it's not for the story's sake but for your own.
I haven't been this excited about food in a movie for so long...
Of course the food preparation and the consumption (you can tell by now) I really thoroughly enjoyed.
All of it was salient to the plot
This is one of the best movies I've seen, with such a good message
So I give it a big yay!
:)

I made this
It is/was/is delicious (everything roasted)
It takes a long time to eat it all though.
Most of the time I just eat leftovers till they are gone but this is so much I may have to throw in a soup day so I don't get tired of it
But man it's good!

I found this
I think the copyright was 1982
What was interesting about it was that many of the recipes in the book, today may not hold up under many restrictive diets
HOWEVER
He does have a lot of exercises. Like so.
AND he also features a lot of women who are trying to lose weight
He puts their picture, highest weight, current weight, and goal weight. Then he puts a recipe under the pic
Throughout the book there are a lot of quizzes and notes about nutrition
You can tell he put a lot of time into it
I dunno that it was right for me, but other people may get or have gotten a lot out of it...

Don't forget
Also, don't forget the stuff that souothes the digestive tract
Your flax
And your nutrient soups daily
With garlic, broccoli and fish

Buy it and cut it
If you are buying melons, get the whole melon and cut it at home
When they cut it in the store, they charge double or triple for the container
I was flabbergasted to see the price comparison.
Just youtube how to cut stuff up if you don't know how
Believe me it's ALL easy
The lady at the fruit counter taught me how to chose ripe cantelope and a customer taught me how to choose ripe sweet watermelon
It is sooo worth it
Especially if you are doing a cleanse

Fruity
Well I have to say this. Frits are good but fruits are a trip of gargatuan proportions
All good intentions aside
Fruit will spoil so you can only buy a certain amount every time you go out.
This increases the number of time you have to go to the store
This is not the best thing for me since I just like to buy a bunch of stuff and have them last a long time. However
I am going to try it this way
I am also trying to go full organic and non GM. EVen though I studied GM in university and a lot of it was fine, I really don't know what all they have come up with and are doing on the low.
Simple manual pollination is considered GM but I imagine that more complicated GM are taking place now.
Whenever you GM something the protein structure changes. When you consume something with modiefied protein structure, the interaction with proteins in your body may change.
It may not be good for your body.
Anyway I really do feel better eating this way
So we shall see
