Ahead of time

When I make chicken I cook a bunch and just freeze and/ or refrigerate till I am ready to use.
Chicken is too labor intensive to just cook one or two pieces a day
So I baked/roasted these

A little gari

I made some gari-pickled ginger
I have never used ginger before in cooking
I want to start because of its health benefits
I started with the pickle
Peel by scraping

Cut in paper thin pieces if you can
Till you get this
Heat shock in boiling water for exactly 3 minutes

Strain then add to pickle liquid - one part honey to one part vinegar and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, along with a teaspoon of sea salt

Place in fridge for three days then use. If you use young ginger it will turn pink. Older ginger will not but it doesn't matter. It tastes really good so you can use with anything

Dinner

I made these tuna and chick pea burger patties

All it's composed of is tuna, seasonings and chick peas with a little  vegetable oil. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes
They taste really good

AND they are really filling
Just eat them plain like this

GGD Free Snack

I made these brown flax, nut, raisin biscuits as a snack
They are so good

Full of fiber

Virtually no carbs
Gluten free, grain free, dairy free

New soup

It's green and it's good
It's soothing on my system...

It helps

Experiment Brassica

After a little research I found that I am in love with Brassica sp in food
I tried a new experiment with rutabaga/swedes
This was my first time ever
When we were younger we used to read about swedes as something farmers gave to their cows and other animals. So I never realy thought about them
I saw rutabaga fries on twitter. This musician from Iceland made them and I asked how they tasted. He told me they were great and that I should try them. I decided to try
They are waxy on the outside and hard to cut but it's all worth it.
 I peel em

Then cut them up

Then do seasoning things to them  in a little coating of oit

Bake at 400F for 30 minutes

Turn them at the halfway mark

Then plate them to eat like so

Have em with chicken for dinner
They are so very delicious. and VERY low carb so you can eat them a lot- and believe me I will

Different Ways

I got this
I never used this in cooking before

I am gonna start now
Ginger

Snack

I haven't had REAL mango in a while

Love these

I stove topped this

I was roasting the veggies a lot
Just because I didn't want to have to check them too often
I was also doing the same to the chicken

So I decided to stove top and curry that too
The chicken breasts need a little more care anyway
These ended up being really tender

The veggies were really great when I got through with them
Very tasty very good
The secret to great food is the correct seasonings
So all was good

Its good. The raisins get chewy

Soup

Boil then simmer till tender

Blitz the peas (I added carrots too)

Boil the liquid with some toum

Add the blitz stuff to the liquid

Eat- creamy because of the blitzing.
 Tastes really good
