Tomato Land

I love this place.

Its just so in tune with EARTH!

The food looks good, it's outdoorsy

The workers there are dirty and sweaty from soil and lugging stuff around

Mostly the food is fresh, except for what they keep in the freezer etc...

Another day

The rain was falling really hard and my friend wanted me to go to eat some dinner.
We went there and for dinner I ordered an appetizer for my dinner.

It came out quickly but the service is so bad in this place.
My friend waited 40 minutes for his meal
When it came out it looked dry and awful.

I felt sorry for him.

At this place

I had pretzel crusted grouper
Creamed spinach and some baby potatoes

Was good.
My friend had seafood linguine

The appetizer was bacon wrapped, jalapeno chicken bites.

Confusing

So I went to diner with my friend and we talked and talked and talked.
Then we had this interesting dessert
A hamburger and milkshake
Fries = mangoes
Ketchup + Strawberry sauce
Burger bun = Donut
Tomato = Strawberry
Burger patty = Brownie
Cheese = White chocolate

The thing is It looks savory but tastes sweet so it confuses your brain, even slightly grosses you out!

LC vege

Once again I am trying hard to low carb vegetarian it for a few days.
Just to see if I feel healthier.
There are a surprising amount of resources!
SO I am gonna try it and see how it goes...

Kettle Corn

One of my favorite snacks
sweet and salty at the same time and even better the next day when they are semi stale...Oh so good.
My friend and I used to buy a huge bag from vendors like this guy (well not exactly like THIS guy- he was dancing and singing while he mixed),

and we would share it..we would feel ill after a while and save it for the nxt day and eat it while watching movies
So gross and sooooo good hahah

British and together

We all went out to dinner
Seating was hard for such a big group.
I missed my friends who were in England so I decided to have fish and chips. Gaby took a pic of the menu in their honor :)

My friend who got the mini burgers despised them because of the onions...I would too
They were all wet and mushy and gross. :(

So she was starving afterward because she didn't eat them
Then more people had Italian looking stuff
Then this- chicken skewers. I think he wasn't satisfied because he some of ours too!

Relaxing

SO we all met up and sat on the floor and had such a sweet time
Here was what we had
Tea and juice

I had mango
Za had banana
The rest had black tea with and without milk

Home for lunch

Kam didn't prepare his lunch the night before so he had to go home and prepare some. He sent me this pic
Porkchop
Boiled potatoes with dill dressing
Cooked cabbage

MMMMM sooo good!
I know its good because when he cooked for us that time at his party it was yummy.
He's been dispensing his recipes to us ever since. :)

Chicory...

So my friend in Ireland had

Mashed Potato

Ham
And some kind of sauce
Looks good...I never had chicory

Coppola Wine

I didn't know Francis Coppola had wine!

I love that he does!

One dinner

Bok Choi

Meatballs

Chicken
Pineapple :)

Nice

My lab-mate went and got this for me when I forgot to get it for myself from the office

So nice!

And this

I love fried icecream!

Oh Man!

But then you have to eat your dinner before you can get to the dessert :(

Bible snack

So at every bible study there are snacks.

I like the arrangement

Chocolate chip- my favorite...The fig newtons got left behind...

Biggest Cheesecake ever

So my friend sent me a pic of cheesecake he made and it was huge.
He said its a German recipe with a type of cheese that puffs when you add egg..

That was interesting and the cake looks yummy.

Great!

A friend of mine is traveling in Europe and the best part is that he is telling me what he is eating and cooking. I am so glad when people understand why I ask, so here goes. He is visting restaurants in this chapter but I am looking forward to his cooking...

Chapter One: restaurants

My friend said that this place looked very average from the outside, but the food was excellent - the owner didn't have a license to serve alcohol but they were able to bring their own

London, Monday 14th July

http://www.pizzaexpress.com/our-food/vegetarian/

This was a blow-out:

Olives Marinate
Ramiro al Forno

Pizza Veneziana (Romana)
Caffè Reale

My friend said that it is still the best sit-down pizza restaurant in London.
Ok I hope I do his other adventures justice. So far it seems like a ton of good food. I dunno If I would be able to restrain myself. You know when you travel and you want to try everything, especially and you are hanging out with friends..Its the best time ever!
I wish I was roaming Europe too! :)
